“I don’t think anyone can (explain what’s the problem now),” he told BT Sport.

“We are playing well but we have to finish our chances. We have to keep going and make sure we turn it around now.

“We’re not finishing our chances when they come.

“Tottenham are looking to move forward and progress as a team. We’re confident in our ability and it’s just a case of making sure we finish off games,” he added.

Tottenham loss to Bayer Leverkusen in their Group E encounter last night. The only goal of the game was scored in the 65minute by Kevin Kampl. That leaves Tottenham chances of qualification hanging in the balance.

“Every team has something to learn but we’re confident. We expect ourselves to perform on any level against anyone.

“We’ve got to pick ourselves up and make things right not just for the players but for the fans as well,” he added
