Manchester United continued their faltering season last night in Istanbul where they were defeated by Fenerbahce by two goals to one.
Paul Scholes 41, who understands what it means to wear the Manchester united jersey; said realistically the red side of Manchester can only battle for the fourth place and not the title.
Scholes said on BT Sport following the loss to Fenerbahce. “I think there’s three or four better teams in the Premier League. We know this team, at this time, isn’t capable of challenging for the league. “They’re just about challenging for fourth. We have to say Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City definitely look better teams.
“Things can change during the season and you have to hope that it does for them to have a chance of finishing in the top four.”
Paul Scholes won eleven premier league titles during his time with Manchester united.
