Ian Wright has advice Daniel Sturridge to be selfless, if he must save his Liverpool career under Klopp. Sturridge has not scored in the premier league this season though Liverpool have 30 goals. His four goals so far this season have come in the league cup against Burton Albion and Tottenham Hotspur.

“A lot of people find fault with him that when he gets it (the ball), the move finishes with him,” Wright told BBC 5 Live.

“So many times where he has the shot, or he might lose the ball.

“If he wants to stay at Liverpool and he wants to be in that team, he’s going to have to do a lot more of that work where he’s given himself up for the team. Little layoffs, runs where other people make spaces.

“I think in that team, you will if you’re working in tandem with the rest of them, because if you look at them all of them are scoring goals.

“If you’re in and amongst that and you’re doing your bit towards that, you will score goals as well.

“But I think he is a forward where in his mind he is a 20 goals-a-season striker and I think Liverpool this season, they’re going to share them out. He needs to get into that mindset.”
