Tottenham Hotspur are out of the Champions league after they failed to win at Stade Louis against the spirited Monaco side.

Tottenham Hotspur continued their poor form in the champions league last night. At the Stade Louis 11, they were outplayed, out-muscled, out-worked by the Monaco side who were determined to make sure that Tottenham visit ends in futility.

Tottenham were saved by the heroic performance of their captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris who served Falcao’s penalty in the first half and produced a superb reflex in the second half to keep the score line from been embarrassing. The match ended Monaco 2 Tottenham 1.

Tottenham Hotspur are out of the champions league. Tottenham have not been convincing this champions league especially at their Wembley ground where they were fumbling; in fact they have not won any match at Wembley ( Sep 14: Tottenham 1 Monaco 2, Nov 2: Tottenham 0 Bayer Leverkusen 1)

Though, Mauricio Pochettino should be blame for putting the cart before the horse for this defeat. Their defensive organization was poor and in shambles, there was no cohesion and understanding of any sought in their backline. Why rest Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen? When you know that a defeat will send your team crashing out of the champions league. He was thinking ahead of their Saturday clash with Chelsea in the premier league when you have a bigger fish to fry. That was an error in judgement for him which indeed back-fired.
