Arsenal were on fourteen-game unbeaten run before their second half lacklustre display at Goodison Park against Everton where Williams reminded Wenger and Arsenal hierarchy what they missed.

Arsenal players were second best in the second half against Everton and they were playing without purpose or intent. Again, against Manchester City on Sunday; they looked like there is something fundamentally wrong. With Ozil and Sanchez deals not finalised yet, it will be hard not to point in that direction as part of their problem. Arsenal have allowed their opponents (Everton 2 Arsenal 1, Man City 2 Arsenal 1) in their last two games to come from behind and take all three points.

Arsenal are now fourth on the premier league with thirty-four points after seventeen matches and are now nine points below the table toppers Chelsea and just one point above Tottenham Hotspur.

Though, the position of their North London neighbours (Spurs) wouldn’t be any worries for Arsenal because Spurs have not finished above them in the premier league era. Their main worry would be Manchester United who have found their winning formula and Jose Mourinho team knows how to grind out results when they are in this sort of form.

Arsenal are now in their favourite and comfortable position ( 4th )  and it seems like they have found a home in this position (December position) but this time around, they cannot afford any further slip as we gear up towards the new year.

Their next match is against West Bromwich Albion at home on the 26th December and they will be looking to avoid a third straight defeat.
