Tottenham hotspur have stopped Chelsea making history tonight. Tottenham made Chelsea look ordinary with their superb performance.

Chelsea were poor in the first half, with Kante unlike him was losing possession in the midfield  and Pedro were Chelsea’s Achilles-heel in that half of the match. Chelsea did not muster a shot on target in the first 45-minute and their wing backs were truly exposed by the work-rate of Walker and Rose especially Walker, who restricted Alonso to a bit part player.

Tottenham players echoed the word of their manager who made it clear that he doesn’t want Chelsea creating history on their ground and every Tottenham player came to party and put on a 101% effort from the first blast of the whistle to ensure that Chelsea visit ends in futility.

In the 45th minute, Tottenham exploited Chelsea’s vulnerability at left back when Walker dropped the ball for Eriksen to put in a perfect cross for Dele Alli to head in his ninth goal of the season.

On the restart, Chelsea played with high tempo and purpose for at least seven minutes of the second half before a perfect cross from Eriksen again, in the 54th minute saw Dele Alli double Tottenham’s lead. Dele’s two goals tonight brings his total tally to ten goals this season and for a player who was playing in league one two years ago, with MK Dons that is incredible.

Dele heads in his 7th goal in 4 matches.
