Liverpool hope of winning a title is now hanging by a thread.

They have lost three of their last home games and yesterday defeat is a pointer that all is not well at Anfield though the manager Klopp is absorbing the blame for his ridiculous ten changes against Wolves in the FA Cup.

People may argue that no single player makes a whole team but the results at Liverpool is proving otherwise since Sadio Mane left for the African Cup of Nations in Gabon, they have won once in eight matches and that came against Plymouth. But there’s good news for the Reds because Mane missed a decisive penalty against Cameroon to send Senegal crashing out of AFCON 2017.

Liverpool will host Chelsea on Tuesday night and anything short of a victory is a final goodbye to their hope of winning a title this year.

The truth is that they haven’t been playing badly in the offensive but their defending have been terrible to say the least.

Southampton dumped them out of the league cup with a beautiful counter-attack display and goal; yesterday, Wolves mirrored the style of play and eliminated them from the FA Cup. Wolves scored their second goal with a beautiful counter attack courtesy of Costa who found Weimann, Weimann rounded Karius and scored with no pressure at all but their first goal inside the first minute through a set piece will be a major concern for Klopp.

On Tuesday, if Liverpool fail to step up and beef up their defense against the league leaders, this January will end with their hope of winning a silverware.
